Is It Possible to Build a Huge Empire of Business with Zero Investment? Read The Story Here!
Hemu was a 19 years young boy in a small village near Lucknow. His father was 45 years old laborer, and his mother was a housewife. The whole of his life Hemu had to see a huge struggle. His father had to work the whole day in the fields of others to get a daily wage and run family expenses. They have no agricultural land, nor any strong financial backup, as a result, the whole family was living a life full of struggle. Hemu could not see a good private school for better education as his father was not able to even earn daily bread.
Still, Hemu’s father did one good thing which was sending him school in a government-aided primary school. Thanks to the principal Shivnath of that primary village primary school. He supported Hemu very much in his studies and gave him motivation. With his support and motivation, he was anyhow able to complete his matrics.
What changed Hemu’s life?
After completing matrics he and his family were not in a situation to let him pursue more education. Hemu was still in touch with Shivnath, as he was only a ray of hope for him. Shivnath was understanding his financial situation and was always thinking of the easiest way through which Hemu can continue his studies and do something reasonable in his future. Shivnath’s elder son Alok was a software engineer. When he came to spend his holidays in his father’s home, he gifted his father a new phone on his birthday. This brought a good life changing idea for Hemu as Shivnath donated his old smartphone to him.
Also, he asked his son Alok to teach Hemu some quick tips to operate smartphones and learn through the internet. Alok was a software engineer, he was completely aware of digital technology and the future of technology. Within 3 days, Alok taught Hemu a lot of things about digital technology. He not only explained to him the features of smartphones but also suggested he learn business ideas with the least investments. And that was a turning point in Hemu’s life.
Hemu had no option to charge mobile phone, so Alok ordered him a solar panel. He also recharged his mobile phone to make him accessible of internet data for 6 months. And this was enough.
How did he start his first shop with no investment?
Hemu had seen poverty, and he was keen to learn something which can change his bad days. He started learning subjects, and business concepts through youtube and google searches. The best thing about him was, that everything he learned tried to implement in his daily life.
Within 3 months, he was expert enough with the knowledge of social media and digital marketing. He was totally aware of the potential of social media and digital marketing and decided to set new heights of success through online marketing.
See how smart he was?
He has a pressure of completing is intermediate and continuing his further studies to get something positive in his life. He needed money very badly to live his life and carry on his studies as his father was also aging.
He had no money; therefore, he made a Facebook business page to sell vegetables, fruits, and groceries and started promoting it online. At the start, it was very tough for him to get visitors and responses. Slowly and steadily within 1 month, he started getting some orders online.
I remember he explained how he was able to deliver his first order. His first order was from a nearby city where he had to deliver 5 kg vegetables. The customer Lila was a pregnant lady, she was not able to go outside the market for purchasing vegetables. Seeing his ad, she ordered vegetables online and asked him for confirmation.
Hemu was in a dilemma
As Hemu had no vegetable shop, he was afraid of how will he be able to deliver this very first order. As he was a full dedication to starting his business, he never give up, immediately called Alok, and clearly discussed the situation. Alok arranged for him money with the help of his father Shivnath so he could purchase the number of ordered vegetables from the local market and deliver it to Lila’s house.
He kept on getting orders and repeating the same. Whenever he receives orders, He notes down the ordered products, Goes to the local market, purchases them, and delivers them to the client
Initially, it wasn’t that much easy as it seems to be. Also, there were situations where he had to give bad feedback from clients. In some orders, he was not even paid. But, somehow support of Alok, kept him motivating and let him grow step by step.
Alok suggested he to take paid promotion services of Facebook to increase his reach to all local customers. This way, he was able to make more and more social media contacts of those clients who needed vegetables at their doorsteps. Within 3 months, he started getting 10-15 daily orders earning 10,000 earning.
This boosted his confidence very much, and Alok was also very impressed with his work. Alok was even mesmerized by seeing the actual power of social media. With zero investment, Hemu was a way to build a successful business. A business that started giving him earnings that were more than that of a professional.
Where is Hemu Now?
You can’t imagine today after 7 years, Hemu is now running his 7 vegetable outlets, where every store manager manages around 50-60 daily orders. He has his own cart, and website. He is now giving jobs to more than 100 workers and running business of more than 1 million. This is the power of digital technology. Hope you liked the story!
